Each committee is guided by a clear vision and mission that support our programs, initiatives, and community impact. Together, they help translate purpose into action and ensure our work remains aligned, effective, and impactful.

Program and Social Committee Mission Statement: The MISSION of the 100 Black Men of Long Beach, Inc. Program and Social Committee is to recommend, coordinate, organize and assist in the general implementation of programs and social events of the corporation These programs and social events shall focus on the chapter’s mission and core programs: Mentoring, Education, Health & Wellness, Economic Empowerment and Leadership Development.
Program and Social Committee Vision Statement: The VISION of the 100 Black Men of Long Beach, Inc. Program and Social Committee is to develop and implement programs and social events that will highlight the organization as a premier nonprofit community organization.
Committee Responsibility: This committee is responsible for recommendation, organization, coordination, and general implementation of all the program and social events of the corporation.

The committee is led by the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for providing guidance to the Board and the membership with regard to the finances of the corporation in a manner consistent with the general purposes of the corporation.

Corporate Relations and Fundraising Committee Mission Statement: The MISSION of the 100 Black Men of Long Beach, Inc. Corporate Relations and Fundraising Committee is to seek out, coordinate and present fundraising programs of interest to the membership which are in keeping with the general purpose of the corporation. In addition to assisting in the establishment of corporate sponsorships.

The VISION of the 100 Black Men of Long Beach, Inc. Corporate Relations and Fundraising Committee is to establish solid ongoing fundraising programs with the support of corporate sponsors that will allow our corporation to sustain our operative programs; Mentoring, Education, Health & Wellness, and Economic Empowerment.
Committee Responsibilities:This committee is responsible for seeking out, coordinating, and presenting fund-raising programs of interest to the membership and the general public, while also keeping with the general purpose of the corporation and assisting in the establishment of corporate sponsorships.

Membership Mission Statement: The Mission of 100 Black Men of Long Beach, Inc. Membership Action Committee is to continue to seek men of strong, exceptional character, with resilence; purpose—leaders, who bring professional excellence and an unwavering commitment to mentoring and uplifting the next generation of young men and guiding them toward excellence and success - while strengthening our community, and leaving a lasting legacy.
Membership Vision Statement: The vision of the Membership Committee of the 100 Black Men of Long Beach, Inc. is to build and sustain a brotherhood of 100 men called to stand as a beacon of light—igniting hope, inspiring the overlooked, and serving as a trusted pillar of strength within the Long Beach community. In solidarity, we further envision a unified body, whose collective leadership illuminates pathways of possibility, awakens purpose, and a long-lasting standing as a premier organization that is resourceful and innovative.
Committee Responsibility: This committee is responsible for seeking out prospective members, and providing guidance to the membership regarding prospective members, all in accordance with the organization’s governing documents. In addition, this committee is empowered to enforce the membership acceptance termination provisions of the bylaws, keep track of attendance, follow-up on members that are delinquent in their payment and prepare reports as deemed necessary by the President and Board of Directors.

Education Mission Statement: The mission of the Education Committee of 100 Black Men of Long Beach, Inc. is to create educational programs that serve as a catalyst for relentless pursuit of intellectual excellence among mentees, persistence in problem-solving, and offer preparation for college and career readiness through purposeful, academic workshops. We believe students are college and career ready when they have the level of preparation needed to academically, socially, and cognitively complete a postsecondary course of study without remediation. Students are prepared when they can enter the workforce at a level at which they are in line for promotion and career advancement.
Education Vision Statement: The vision of the Education Committee of the 100 Black Men of Long Beach, Inc. is to become a committee that reinforces a growth mindset, promotes positive physical and digital citizenship, and ensures students with post-secondary measures that ensure that they are college and career ready. As lifelong learners, students see themselves as: part of a community of learners; problem solvers using a variety of strategies to understand; critical thinkers about what they read; believers that know that they can succeed.
Committee Responsibility: This committee is responsible for recommendation, organization, coordination, and general implementation of programs that educate and infirm the membership and programs that contribute to the education of the community served by the corporation.

Government Relations Mission Statement: The mission of the 100 Black Men of Long Beach, Inc. The Government Relations Committee is to cultivate and maintain relationships with federal, state and local elected officials to support programs, create opportunities, and foster development in accordance with the Four-For-The-Future platform.
Government Relations Vision Statement: The vision of the 100 Black Men of Long Beach, Inc. The Government Relations Committee is to garner, disseminate, promote, and advocate on issues of mutual concern to the African American community.
Committee Responsibility: This committee is responsible for interfacing with other organizations, keeping abreast of public policy and new legislation which impacts the community, and making recommendations to the Board of Directors and to the membership on actions and positions which the corporations should take on any of these matters.

Economic Empowerment Mission Statement: The Mission of The 100 Black Men of Long Beach, Inc.'s Economic Empowerment Committee is to provide information and training regarding personal finance, entrepreneurship, career exposure, technological advancement, as well as, self-promotion skills in order to foster a mindset towards generational wealth and community economic development.
Economic Empowerment Vision Statement: The Vision of The 100 Black Men of Long Beach, Inc.'s Economic Empowerment Committee is to be a source of actionable information and resources that increases the community’s access jobs and financial services, which in turn leads to improved access to healthy foods, healthcare, and healthy lifestyle that supports generational wealth.
Committee Responsibility: This committee is responsible for developing programs that develop generational wealth and promote economic self-sufficiency through financial literacy, family wealth building and entrepreneurship.

Mentoring Mission Statement: The mission of the 100 Black Men of Long Beach, Inc. Mentoring Committee is to use group mentoring models to give our young men powerful tools and growth mindset strategies to help them improve in school and thrive in life.
Mentoring Vision Statement: The vision of the 100 Black Men of Long Beach, Inc. The Mentoring Committee is to be the cornerstone of positive youth development and advocacy for males in the African American culture and community.
Committee Responsibility: This committee is responsible for seeking out, coordinating, and presenting programs of interest to the membership that will address the social, emotional and cultural needs of the Blacks and other youth, and provide them with the needed skills to become productive contributing citizens, and which are in keeping with the general purpose of the corporation.

Health & Wellness Mission Statement: The 100 Black Men of Long Beach Inc., is concerned about the well being of the whole community and the whole person: Physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual. The Mission of the 100 Black Men of Long Beach Inc., Health and Wellness Committee is to educate members of the Greater Long Beach California area, surrounding cities, and Service Planning Areas about Healthy Choices, Public Health issues, provide programs and Health screenings that increase awareness through education/outreach, promote access to healthcare, develop strategies that will ultimately promote behavior change. We facilitate the Social Ecological model, the social determinants to health, life course perspectives, the political economy, and the culture of Health resulting in healthier lifestyle for African Americans.
Health & Wellness Vision Statement: The 100 Black Men of Long Beach Inc., Health and Wellness Committee Vision is to achieve "Health Equity" through youth development, family engagement, community culture, community engagement, social policy, sustainable coalitions and to stimulate the development of "Healthy Communities" delivering sophisticated resources that counteract illnesses and chronic ailments that challenge members of our underserved population and communities.
Committee Responsibility: This committee is responsible for developing a program that increases public awareness regarding health and wellness issues; increase awareness and expand knowledge among Black people especially, regarding health issues and treatment and to help shape public policy regarding the local, state, and national health policy impacting the Black community, and which are in keeping with the general purpose of the corporation.

Marketing Vision Statement: The mission of 100 100 Black Men of Long Beach, Inc. Marketing Committee is to establish , operate, and sustain our perception as of the most recognized African-American community-based organizations in the greater Long Beach area by using the latest marketing tools. We are constantly focusing on innovation.. We believe in the simple, not complex!
Committee Responsibility: This committee is responsible for ensuring that programs and activities of the corporation are publicized and marketed. The committee prepares media releases and edit those prepared by other members of the corporation. The committee also maintains the corporations’ website.

Real Estate Mission Statement: Our mission is to acquire, develop, and steward real estate assets that expand access to safe, affordable, and sustainable spaces, strengthening communities and advancing social equity for underserved and marginalized populations by incorporating financial literacy and offering opportunities for advancement and receipt of generational wealth
Real Estate Vision Statement: The Vision of The 100 Black Men of Long Beach, Inc.'s Real Estate Action Committee is to develop a growth mindset within and beyond our immediate context wherein real estate becomes a tool for opportunity, resilience, and long-term community well-being and wealth building.
Committee Responsibility: This committee is responsible for managing all aspects of any realty owned by the corporation to include paying all bills (utilities, mortgages, etc), upkeep, rental and implementation of any plans for construction, liquidation or acquisition of added properties.
