Dr. Byron Johns considers himself a social entrepreneur, who remains steadfast in the interconnected mission and vision to cultivate community; he views his participation in 100 Black Men of Long Beach, Inc.  as part of  this symmetry of fulfilling that mission as he assist with data that informs practice in operation. His expertise and selflessness has been instrumental in attainment and sustaining grants for program operation. 

Dr. Johns holds a doctorate in Organizational Management and Consulting along with a Master's degree in Performing Arts Management.  Johns loves traveling and engaging with people. John has lived in 10 cities, including Nairobi and Kenya, in the continent of Africa, and is the proud father of his 28-year old son, Jahwala Moses Johns.
